Teaching & Schedule Updates
|
|
Cathy's got a very busy teaching schedule this spring, but she still manages to make time to take a few classes with her favorite teachers. This month, she's going to attend Elly Sienkiewicz's Appliqué Academy in Williamsburg, Virginia and take classes with Ellen Heck and Shirley Bloomfield. Ellen does exquisite life-like botanical applique, and has been a true source of inspiration for Cathy. This will be Ellen's last year teaching at the academy, and she's going to be missed once she leaves!

In April, Cathy will be heading to Cape Code to lecture and do workshops for the Bayberry Quilters.
|
|
Then in May, Cathy Van Bruggen Designs will have a booth at the Spring Quilt Market in Salt Lake, Utah. Please stop by the booth if you're going to be there!

Meet Posie, Our Quilt-Loving Cat
|
|
 |
|
Whenever Cathy is working on a quilt, you can bet that Posie will be somewhere close by. This one-year old cat was rescued when she was just a few weeks old, and had to be bottle-fed every day.
Now she's big and rambunctious, and is fascinated by the quilting process. She likes to "help" arrange pattern pieces and is constantly stealing Cathy's pencils and threads. So it's only fitting that Posie should just get her own quilt.
